Luis Suarez made his much-anticipated debut for Inter Miami on Friday, teaming up with Lionel Messi in a friendly match against El Salvador.
It didn't take long for the pair to show their chemistry on the pitch.
Messi nearly scores wonder goal
The former Barcelona stars nearly combined to score a spectacular goal against El Salvador in the first half.
Alba delivered a cross to Suarez, who was making a run towards the El Salvador goal. Suarez then diverted the pass to Busquets, who was positioned outside the penalty box.
Busquets immediately looked for Messi, dishing out a one-touch pass to the Argentine star.
Messi returned the ball to Busquets, who made a great run in the box. The ball didn’t stay long with the midfielder, with Busquets passing it back to a wide-open Messi.
He had a wonderful opportunity to give Inter Miami a 1-0 lead, but his left-footed effort was spectacularly saved by the El Salvador goalkeeper.
The rebound fell to Messi, but his attempt was saved again by the keeper.
Messi and Suarez failed to score a goal in this contest as they were substituted at the break.
Fans react to Suarez and Messi reunion
Fans can’t get enough of the reunited Barca teammates, who won numerous titles during their time in Spain.
One fan said that he can’t believe he’s witnessing Messi and Suarez on the same pitch again.

It wasn’t just Messi and Suarez who reunited on Friday. Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also started for Inter Miami, meaning all four football stars played together as teammates for the first time since their glory days at Barcelona.

Messi nets 17th FIFPRO World XI selection
