Liverpool fans are unhappy with Mohamed Salah’s injury at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 32-year-old failed to finish the first half of Egypt’s game against Ghana on Tuesday after picking up an apparent hamstring injury.
He went down and received treatment from medical staff before eventually being substituted in added time in the opening half.
That is a huge blow not only for Egypt but also for the Reds, who are right in the thick of the Premier League title race.
Liverpool holds a precarious two-point lead at the top of the table heading into Matchday 21, per Sky Sports. They need Salah in their lineup for them to hold off the title charge of defending champions Manchester City.

Liverpool fans took to social media to show their concern about Salah’s injury.
Some fans posted memes upon learning the news that Salah got injured in the game against Ghana.
Chloe Bloxam wrote that she hates international football and that Salah’s injury better not be bad.
@LFCKay offered some worrying piece of information concerning Salah, writing that “he’s never had a muscle injury in his career.”
@LFCLaurie shared his disappointment on X, writing the reason the Salah injury is so frustrating is because she didn’t even consider the possibility of him getting injured at AFCON.
He added that Salah’s “been with Liverpool for 7 years, and he’s missed just one game through injury, which was a concussion.”
