Xavi under pressure

ESPN has now reported that it’s not just the fans who want Xavi gone, as some players have also had enough.

Several players are believed to have lost faith in him to lead the side and have questioned his decisions.

Pep Guardiola believes in Xavi

Xavi willing to waive millions if fired

While President Joan Laporta has expressed his faith in Xavi to turn things around, the former Barca man has reportedly thought about potentially losing his job.

Forbes noted that Xavi is willing to waive away millions that Barca would have to pay him should he be fired before his contract ends. It’s no secret that Barca have no money, and so Xavi doesn’t expect the side to pay him out.

Barca could replicate AS Roma’s decision

The news of Xavi coming under more pressure broke on the same day that Jose Mourinho was sacked by AS Roma.

The Special One was let go by the side less than six months before his contract expired.

The former Barcelona midfielder described his side’s performance as awful following the heavy defeat in Saudi Arabia.
