- Inter Miami recently signed Luis Suarez ahead of the 2024 season
Aston Villa are reportedly considering sending Philippe Coutinho to the Major League Soccer after a failed loan stint At Al-Duhail.
Coutinho has failed to provide the expected spark when he joined the Qatari side on a season-long loan last summer. He has only managed to start six times.
The Brazilian could now join Inter Miami on another loan deal - a move that would see him reunite not only with Lionel Messi but also with his former Barcelona teammates, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Spanish newspaper AS reports that the 31-year-old remains unwanted by Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, and thus, a loan move to the Major League Soccer will be considered. Inter Miami and LA Galaxy are the clubs that have been mentioned as possible destinations.
Philippe Coutinho's career post-Liverpool
Coutinho's career took a turn for the worse when he quit Liverpool in January 2018 to secure a huge money deal to Barcelona. He was one of the players the Blaugrana had hoped would fill the void left by Neymar's departure the previous year.
He failed to settle in and was sent to Bayern Munich on loan, where he won a couple of trophies, including the Champions League as captured by Transfrermakt.
The winger was then sent out to Aston Villa, first on loan, before the Birmingham-based club signed him permanently.
Messi and his Inter Miami teammates are gearing up for the resumption of the Major League Soccer on February 22.
