Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas, Sporting Kansas City’s home field since 2011, can only hold a capacity of about 18,000 people, per ESPN.

Fans blast move to Arrowhead

Not all fans are happy to see the game moved from that venue to the iconic NFL ground.

They blasted the club’s decision to move the game to Arrowhead, saying it was a money grab by the owners.

Ben Cunningham wrote that SKC has once again upset their core fans, and they just don’t get it at all.

Kalon Fullerton described it as a ridiculous move, explaining that Children’s Mercy Park gives them a better chance to win.

He added that he does not think he is crazy for wanting his club to win games more than Messi fans having to see Messi.

Bruce Summers also blasted the owners, writing: “way to chase the money and not actually care about the experience Children’s Mercy Park provides.”

He added a sarcastic message, writing that he "can’t wait for it to be a stadium full of Messi jerseys and not actually a home match."
