  • Jose Mourinho landed himself in trouble for protesting a refereeing decision
  • The Portuguese had initially been booked before he was red-carded for dissent
  • His Roma side went on to record a disappointing 1-1 draw against Atalanta

Jose Mourinho earned himself a second red card this season following his furious rant at the referee during Roma's Serie A clash against Atalanta.

The Special One was handed his marching orders for dissent while protesting a refereeing decision.

According to Goal, Mourinho had initially been booked during the Sunday clash before he was subsequently sent off for another protestation.

The Portuguese manager's latest red card will see him serve a one-match touchline ban.

The match against AC Milan is scheduled for next Sunday, January 14, at San Siro.

However, the 60-year-old is expected to be on the touchline when Roma take on Lazio in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.

Incredibly, this was not Mourinho's first red card this season, having been sent off back in October for mocking the Monza bench.

At the time, the former Premier League boss was shown a straight red card after he was spotted goading the Monza coaching staff with a 'cry baby' gesture.

Roma bags point vs Atalanta

Meanwhile, Roma's Sunday clash against Atalanta ended in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

Eurosport reported that Teun Koopmeiners opened the scoring for Atalanta inside seven minutes of action before Paulo Dybala equalized from the spot five minutes before the break.

Neither side could find the winner after the interval, ultimately settling for a draw.

The result leaves Roma sitting eighth in the Serie A standings with 29 points after 19 games.

They are sitting five points off the top four ahead of the second half of the Italian top-flight campaign.

Mourinho’s lookalike spotted dancing

Sports Brief also reported on AS Roma manager Mourinho’s lookalike dance video trending on social media weeks ago.

The unidentified man was dancing to American rapper Lil Baby’s My Dawg, and football fans picked it up, asking the Special One to be careful of dropping a stinker lest he would be trolled.
