Thomas Tuchel certainly has a way with words when it comes to responding to transfer rumours.

The Bayern Munich boss will have to do that a lot now with the current transfer window open, and he has already hilariously responded to one journalist.

As reported by Goal, Tuchel was responding to recent links that Eric Dier could be joining the side and was asked by a journalist, how does Dier sound?

Tuchel then responded hilariously that he sounded English.

“English! Have you already asked the sporting director? There will be no comment from me," he said.

Dier linked with Bayern Munich move

With the transfer window in full effect, clubs are on the hunt for players to bolster their squad ahead of the second half of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Dier is one of the bigger-name stars who have been linked with a move, as the Bundesliga champions are reportedly keen on securing his services.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently claimed it was all on the club now.

Dier time at Tottenham

The English international has spent over nine years at the London-based side and looks certain to leave as his amount of game time is currently limited.

The defender has made 364 appearances for the side in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and notching up 12 assists, Transfermarkt reported. His contract with the English side ends on June 30, 2024.

Thomas Tuchel equals unwanted record

Sports Brief, in a previous report, stated that Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel equalled an unwanted record in the Bavarian club's victory against FC Koln.

The 50-year-old Tuchel became the first Bayern Munich manager since Louis van Gaal to make no substitutions in a Bundesliga match.

Van Gaal also made no substitutions in a game on December 11, 2010, during the German side's three-nil home win over FC St. Pauli.
