Former Arsenal forward Ian Wright has questioned Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for signing Antony over Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus and Antony worked together under ten Hag during his time at Ajax Amsterdam, helping the club to back-to-back Dutch titles.
However, when ten Hag moved to England, he decided to sign the Brazilian ahead of the Ghana international.
A decision the Arsenal legend has struggled to comprehend following United's latest defeat at Nottingham Forest.
“Two players in (Edson) Alvarez and Kudus he had himself and it’s baffling to me that you do sign Antony over Kudus," he said, as quoted by Ghana Soccernet.
“I don’t think we have needed to see too many games where you look at Kudus’ output to Antony’s output and then think, how can you choose this guy over this guy? When this guy is definitely doing a lot more.”
Kudus has been in fine form since joining the Hammers in the summer transfer window, netting ten goals across all competitions, per Transfermarkt.
Meanwhile, Antony is yet to score or assist this season for Manchester United.
