David Moyes laments over Kudus' absence

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that West Ham United manager, David Moyes has expressed disappointment after Mohammed Kudus was not allowed to feature in the Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 23-year-old was named in Ghana's final squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and was expected to report to camp on Tuesday, the same day as the Brighton game.

Kudus was unable to feature for the Hammers after the Ghana FA requested his release for camping and he was later reported to be struggling with a minor injury.

Kudus named in Ghana squad for AFCON

Sports Brief also reported that West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has been named in Ghana's squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey, who is recovering from an injury he sustained in October last year, was dropped from the final team.

The absence of the ex-Atletico Madrid star is a huge blow for the four-time African champions.
