According to Football Transfers, Onana could miss as many as four games for Man United depending on how far the Indomitable Lions progress in Africa’s biggest football competition.

While he is away, the Red Devils have been encouraged to sign legendary South African goalkeeper, Khune, with some fans believing the 36-year-old is be better than the Cameroonian.

Khune has been with AmaKhosi since 2004 and has had over 280 appearances for the PSL giants, but a move to Man United would be the biggest move of his career.

Khune opens up on suspension

Meanwhile, Khune addressed the media shortly after taking part in the Carling All-Stars team training session on Thursday morning following his suspension by Kaizer Chiefs, FARPost reports.

The 36-year-old goalie made it into the All-Stars team after being voted by the fans to be in the starting line-up, and he looks set to feature against Stellenbosch FC in the exhibition clash.

AmaKhosi suspended the veteran and stripped him of the club’s captaincy when the ex-Bafana Bafana player reportedly arrived for training at Naturena under the influence of alcohol.
