As noted by The Mirror, the former Barcelona player admitted that he would be open to a move to Major League Soccer in the future.

The North American League has attracted many big-name stars, including Lionel Messi and now Hugo Lloris.

Griezmann comments on potential MLS move

Having experienced a career resurgence since rejoining Atletico from Barcelona, Griezmann admitted that he wouldn’t play for another side in Europe except for Los Rojiblancos.

With his deal at the side expiring in 2026, Griezmann admitted that he saw the MLS as an option.

"Beyond Europe, what I would like later is the MLS, I have always recognised that. But Atlético will be almost one hundred percent be my last club in Europe. It's where I want to be, where I see myself happiest, and here I am at home," he said.

His comments also come after he was linked with a move to Manchester United on the back of his recent form.

Griezmann’s resurgence at Atleti

Since rejoining the side in 2022, the Frenchman has found a new lease on life in the Spanish capital.

He initially left the side to join Barcelona in 2019 when they paid his €120m release clause, ESPN noted.

After failing to live up to expectations at the Camp Nou, he returned to Atleti on a two-year loan deal before Diego Simeone’s side signed him back permanently.

Griezmann has repaid that faith and scored 16 goals in all competitions already for the team.

His brace against Getafe saw him net his 173rd goal in the team’s colours, equalling Luis Aragones’ feat.
