  • Jose Mourinho is in the final year of his three-year contract at AS Roma
  • Rumours continue to move around his stay beyond the current season
  • The Special One has offers from top European clubs and Saudi Arabia

Jose Mourinho could leave Italian club AS Roma when his contract expires in the summer if his latest hint during a press conference is anything to go by.

Surprisingly, Mourinho signed for Roma in 2021 and, in his first season, broke the club’s 14-year trophy drought by winning the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League, the first since the 2008 Coppa Italia.

He helped the club reach consecutive European finals by reaching the Europa League final in the second season, which he lost to Sevilla 4-1 on penalties under controversial conditions.

Per SportBible, the Special One confirmed he turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia at the end of last season to keep his word to his players and fans that he would be staying.

Mourinho drops future hint

The speculations regarding Mourinho’s future in Italy are nonstop, and with his contract set to expire in the summer, he will likely leave the Stadio Olimpico.

The Giallorossi face a must-win game against Sherif Tiraspol tomorrow night to finish top of Group G and avoid a playoff against teams that finished third in the Champions League, the same route they took last season.

Speaking at the press conference, the former Chelsea boss dropped a hint on his future, as quoted by Roma Press.

“My future? I don’t need to think. I have everything very clear in my head. I can only thank the fans for their support,” he said.

Fans on social media have taken the appreciation to mean he is saying goodbye to the club. His former clubs, Chelsea and Real Madrid, are reportedly open to appointing him.

Mourinho's lookalike spotted dancing

Sports Brief also reported on AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho's lookalike dance video trending on social media weeks ago.

The unidentified man was dancing to American rapper Lil Baby's My Dawg, and football fans picked it up, asking the Special One to be careful of dropping a stinker lest he would be trolled.
