Jack Grealish is on fire.
The Manchester City star set a new personal record on Saturday, scoring in his third successive Premier League game.
He accomplished the feat in the 24th minute of their match against Crystal Palace.
His curling effort was nearly ruled out for offside, but another angle showed his goal was perfectly fine, giving Manchester City a 1-0 lead.
City stretched that advantage to 2-0 via a Rico Lewis strike. Palace battled back, however, scoring two late goals, including a penalty by Michael Olise deep into second-half stoppage time.
Before his strike against Palace, Grealish also scored in Manchester City’s games against Luton Town and Tottenham.
He made a huge impact as a substitute in the match against Spurs, scoring a goal in the 81st minute that gave Manchester City a 3-2 lead, per The Guardian.
Unfortunately for Grealish and City, the lead didn’t last long as Tottenham grabbed a late equaliser through Dejan Kulusevski.
Grealish missed the following league match against Aston Villa due to suspension. City struggled without the Englishman in the lineup, losing 1-0 to Villa in a one-sided contest.
He returned with a vengeance in the game against Luton, scoring the eventual match-winner in the 65th minute, per the BBC.
He completed the second-half comeback for City, converting Julian Alvarez’s low cross to record the 50th goal of his club career.
