Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be enjoying his stay in Saudi Arabia. He scored his 50th goal of 2023 and had some fun with the fans by speaking their language.
The veteran Portuguese forward helped Al-Nassr beat Al-Shabab 5-2 to reach the semi-finals of the Saudi King Cup and was seen speaking Arabic with the fans.
As Al-Nassr players were celebrating their fans following their impressive win in the King Cup, Ronaldo was spotted saying something in Arabic.
In a video posted on X, via Al-Nassr Zone, the 38-year-old was saying, "Yalla Yalla", which in Arabic means hurry up or come on.
The veteran forward seems to be settling in well in Saudi Arabia. When he moved to the country earlier this year, the language barrier was always going to be a challenge, but he seemed to be willing to learn the language.
Al-Nassr recently posted a video of Ronaldo using the traditional Arabic greeting of Salam Alaikum.
Ronaldo reaches 50 goals
During the game against Al-Shabab, Ronaldo reached a new milestone in 2023. He scored his 50th goal in 2023 as Sports Brief earlier reported.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid superstar scored the team’s fourth goal as Al-Nassr won 5-2 to progress to the semi-final of the tournament.
The goal saw Ronaldo notch his 20th of the season for the Saudi Pro League giants, per Transfermarkt. It is the eighth time in his career that he has scored 50 or more goals in a calendar year.
