The Portuguese superstar scored the team’s fourth goal as Al-Nassr won 5-2 to progress to the semi-final of the tournament.

As noted by Transfermarkt, the goal saw Ronaldo notched up his 20th of the season. More importantly, it was his 50th goal of 2023. It is the eighth time in his career that he has scored 50 or more goals in a calendar year.

Now 38 years old, many thought the Portuguese superstar would go to Saudi Pro League to end his career, but the former Real Madrid star has found a new lease on life in the league.

He is now in the running for the Maradona Award at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards.

The award is presented to the player who scores the most goals in a calendar year. Ronaldo is in competition with Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe for the award, The Mirror reported.
