European Golden Shoe Leaders

1. Harry Kane (Bayern Munich, 18 goals)

Kane has flourished since moving to Germany to play for Bayern Munich, scoring 18 goals for the Bavarian giants in the Bundesliga this season.

He has scored in 11 out of Bayern’s 14 league matches this season, recording hat-tricks against VfL Bochum, Darmstadt 98, and Heidenheim in the German top flight.

With the way he is playing right now, it isn’t far-fetched to see the Englishman break Gerd Muller’s record of 40 goals scored in a single Bundesliga season.

2. Serhou Guirassy (Stuttgart, 16 goals)

It’s raining goals in Germany as another Bundesliga player follows Kane in the rankings.

Serhou Guirassy has proven to be a shrewd signing for Stuttgart, racking up 16 goals thus far this season.

He has scored in nine out of Stuttgart’s 14 league matches this season, recording hat-tricks against 1. FSV Mainz 05 and VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

3. Kylian Mbappe (PSG, 15 goals)

Mbappe has been on fire for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 15 goals in Ligue 1 thus far this season.

He has scored in nine out of PSG’s 15 league matches this season, recording a hat-trick against Stade Reims and nabbing braces against Lens, Olympique Lyon, OGC Nice, and Stade Brestois.

He finished third behind Haaland and Kane in the Golden Shoe race last season.

4. Erling Haaland (Manchester City, 14 goals)

Haaland is off to another great start in the Premier League, scoring 14 goals in the 2023-24 season thus far to lead the Golden Boot race in the English top flight.

He has scored in nine out of City’s 16 league matches this season, bagging a hat-trick against Fulham and recording braces against Chelsea, Burnley, and Manchester United.

He will be looking to defend the Golden Shoe title he won last campaign. He scored 36 goals for City in the 2022-23 Premier League season to capture the top prize.

5. Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan, 14 goals)

Martinez has a healthy six-goal lead in the Golden Boot race in Serie A, scoring 14 goals for Inter Milan in the 2023-24 season.

He has scored in nine out of Inter’s 15 matches this season, including a four-goal explosion against Salernitana while coming off the bench.

6. Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid, 12 goals)

Real Madrid struck gold with Jude Bellingham. The Englishman’s football career in Spain is off to a scorching start, leading La Liga in scoring with 12 goals.

He has drawn comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo after matching the Portuguese star’s record of 10 goals scored in 10 appearances at the club.
