Harry Maguire is a happy man after picking up his Premier League monthly award for November. sharing his joy and appreciation with his fans on social media.

The defender was handed an opportunity to regain his spot in the starting 11 after injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, taking it with both hands.

Maguire put up decent performances and elevated himself up the pecking order of United’s centre-backs after almost leaving for West Ham United in the summer.

Many fans heavily criticised him for staying.

However, in November, he helped United win three Premier League games against Luton Town, Fulham, and Everton, with the team keeping clean sheets in all matches.

Maguire appreciates fans after winning award

The 30-year-old England international beat competition from five other colleagues to pick up the award, including compatriots, Raheem Sterling and Ollie Watkins.

Per Manutd.com, Maguire became the third Man United defender to win the award after Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic and the 17th defender overall to win it.

He took to his social media accounts and appreciated his teammates and fans.

"Couldn’t have done it without my teammates, the staff and you fans. Your love and support doesn’t go unnoticed, I appreciate it," he wrote on X.

The former Leicester City star was also pivotal in United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea at midweek, maintaining their unbeaten run against the Blues at Old Trafford for 10 years.

United boss, Erik ten Hag also picked up the Manager of the Month award to make it double accolades for the club, the second team to do so this season after Tottenham Hotspur.

How Carvalho helped Maguire

Sports Brief previously reported on how Chelsea legend Ricardo, Carvalho helped Maguire revive his career after he was nearly pushed out of Man United with a move to West Ham.

The two linked up in Portugal during the off-season and the former Hull City star trained three times daily, the results of which have helped him regain his position in the starting XI.
