Despite facing significant financial challenges, the Catalan club's adept handling of transfers has left many fans astonished. While fans and stakeholders are still in awe of Barcelona's financial manoeuvring, a recent report has highlighted the club have rolled out plans to turn the loan transfer of Atletico Madrid's star forward, Joao Felix, into a permanent deal.
Barcelona plan to sign Felix
Following an impressive performance by Felix in Barcelona's victory against Atleti at the Montjuic, a report from outlet Barca Centre has stated that La Blaugrana are set to engage in negotiations with Enrique Cerezo and the Atletico Madrid’s hierarchy for the permanent signing of the Portuguese.
The report outlines Barcelona's proposed offer, which ranges from €30mil to €40mil for the player. If Atletico does not agree to the terms, La Blaugrana are prepared to negotiate another year-long loan, covering a loan fee, salary, and potentially including a purchase option for 2025.
This development not only brings joy to the Catalan club's fans but also resonates with the former Benfica star, who has expressed his admiration for Barcelona since the summer window.
Since joining Barcelona, Felix has made a significant impact, contributing to eight goals in his 17 appearances for Xavi Hernandez's side, according to data from Whoscored.
