According to GOAL, Mourinho's existing contract with Roma concludes at the season's end, and reports suggest he turned down a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League in the previous summer.

While talks of him returning to Spain for Ancelotti's position surface, Mourinho appears to believe that Madrid already has the right leader in place.

He told Rai1 via Daily Post: “Re-joining Real Madrid to replace Ancelotti? Florentino is super smart.
“He already has a super manager. Why think of another?
“I’m Madridista, and I hope Ancelotti will stay there. He’s the perfect coach for Real Madrid.”

Mourinho's spell with Real Madrid

His previous tenure at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013 remains a debated topic.

Some admire the record-breaking La Liga win, disrupting Pep Guardiola's Barcelona, and reaching three UEFA Champions League semi-finals, exorcising past demons in the round of 16.

However, his departure was marred by controversies, making those three years incredibly eventful and polarizing for many.

What's next for Mourinho

Currently, Mourinho's Roma holds the seventh spot in Serie A, trailing three points behind the Champions League spots. Their upcoming match is against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico on November 26 in the Italian Serie A.

How Chelsea players cried after Mourinho left

In a previous publication related to Mourinho, Sports Brief reported that former Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel disclosed how Chelsea players were left emotional following the first sacking of the Portuguese gaffer at the London club.

The Portuguese gaffer had established a strong bond with the players, delivering back-to-back English Premier League titles for the club.

However, in 2007, he was sacked by owner Roman Abramovic following a poor start to the season.
