Victor Osimhen: Nigeria Star Reacts After Winning Top Prize at Italian FA Awards

Victor Osimhen has broken his silence after scooping two awards at the Italian Footballers' Association awards on Monday night.

The Nigeria forward scooped the awards for being the best player in the Serie A as well as making the league's Team of the Year.

Osimhen led Napoli to their first league title in 33 years following an amazing 2022/23 campaign.

The striker posted on social media after the Gran Gala del Calcio awards event:

"Thank you Grand Gala AIC for the recognition and awards, thank you my family, friends, and supporters for your votes and unending support. GOD is the Greatest."

The 24-year-old also won the Serie A Golden Boot last season, having scored 31 goals in 39 matches across all competitions for Napoli.

Osimhen's team reached the quarter-finals of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League, with the Super Eagles star spearheading the attack.

However, this season, Osimhen has had a much slower start to the campaign with injuries affecting his time on the pitch, as reported by Football Italia.

Despite this, the striker could be named the best player in Africa next week after making the final shortlist for the CAF Men's Player of the Year award.
