  • Jose Mourinho went viral on Sunday for his nonchalant celebration after his team scored
  • Roma came from behind to beat Sassuolo 2-1 in the Serie A
  • The Giallorossi moved up to fifth on the log thanks to the win

Jose Mourinho showed his elite mentality by urging AS Roma fans to ‘calm down’ after his side equalized against Sassuolo on Sunday, December 3.

A second-half resurgence from the Giallorossi saw them come from a goal down to claim all three points at the Mapei Stadium.

It almost looked like it would be the same story for Jose Mourinho’s side as Roma went behind against the run of play, through Matheus Henrique in the 25th minute.

But Paulo Dybala equalized for the visitors in the second half, firing in from the penalty spot in the 76th minute.

As reported on ESPN, Rasmus Kristensen completed an impressive turnaround with eight minutes to go with a deflected strike that went inside through the far post.

Jose Mourinho does the Calma

Mourinho has often been dubbed ‘finished’ by critics, who claim the Portuguese tactician has lost his spark.

But the criticism never seems to faze the 60-year-old, and this was evident when Roma equalized through Dybala.

Amid celebrations from the away end, Mourinho shifted in their direction and waved his hands as if telling them the equalizer was a prelude to better things.

And moments later, the game was turned on its head. You can watch the video of Mourinho below:

In his post-match press conference, the former Chelsea boss addressed the media in his native Portuguese as he thanked the club’s General Manager for backing him amid investigations into comments he made about the referee.

“I want to thank director Tiago Pinto and the club, who in the last few hours have given me the right support and needs to do the job welL," he said as translated by Romapress.net.

Mourinho also praised his side for turning the game around as he dedicated the win to his assistant coach.

“The team played well, I’m happy for my players and my fans. I also dedicate the victory to Salvatore Foti who was out today but worked hard and the victory belonged to him too.”

When Mourinho blasted Roma players

Mourinho was an irate figure only days ago as he blasted Roma players following the 1-1 draw against Servette in the Europa League.

As Sports Brief reported, Roma had taken the lead through a Romelu Lukaku first-half goal, but the Italian giants were pegged back by their hosts five minutes after the break through Chris Bedia, as both teams failed to find a winner.

After the game, Mourinho tore into his players, accusing them of being superficial, including summer signing Houssem Aouar, who had an underwhelming game.
