A section of fans has faulted Andre Onana after Manchester United surrendered a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.

The Red Devils have endured a frustrating campaign in the UCL, winning only one of the five matches they have played.

Erik ten Hag's charges secured a 3-0 thrilling win over Everton last weekend and were hoping to build on the momentum when they faced Galatasaray at RAMS Park.

How Galatasaray vs Man United played out

The Guardian reports that Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring for United in the 11th minute before Bruno Fernandes doubled the advantage with a golazo seven minutes later.

However, the hosts pulled one back via Hakim Ziyech in the 29th minute as the first half ended with the Red Devils the better side.

Scott McTominay appeared to have won it for the visitors in the 55th minute, only for Ziyech and Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu to draw Galatasaray level moments later.

Onana blamed for Man United draw

The result saw a section of fans singled out Onana for blame, with some blaming the Cameroonian goalkeeperfor the result.

@JovanRMFC posted:

"Onana can't be a professional footballer, man. What is wrong with him?"

@CFCMod_ joked:

"They were calling Onana the best goalkeeper in the world last weekend I’m in tears man 😭"

@Mbahdeyforyou reckoned:

"Onana needs to show us his chat with Hakim Ziyech because both goals look planned."

@UTDDengv2 concluded:

"Andre Onana, he doesn't want us in the UCL."
