Haaland: fastest to reach 50 Bundesliga goals

The Norwegian striker became the fastest player to score 50 goals in the Bundesliga, hitting that mark in just 50 games.

He accomplished the feat at the age of 21 years, four months, and six days, the youngest player to score a half-century of goals in Germany’s top football division.

The Dortmund star also bettered Timo Konietzka's previous record by nine matches.

Haaland breaking Konietzka’s record was not unexpected, as he started his career in the German top flight with a bang.

He opened his account in style, scoring a hat trick in his Bundesliga debut against Augsburg on January 18, 2020. He finished the 2020-21 season with 13 goals in 15 league appearances.

Haaland continued his scoring ways in the 2021-22 season, netting 27 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances to reach the 40-goal mark for Dortmund.

He reached the 50-goal mark against Wolfsburg the following season, scoring his 10th goal in just his seventh appearance of the 2021-22 top flight campaign.

Haaland finished his career in Germany with 62 goals scored in 67 appearances for Dortmund.

Haaland makes history with 50th EPL goal

Manchester City acquired the services of Haaland in 2022, paying Dortmund around $63 million to land the star striker.

It was money well spent for City, who went on to win a historic treble with Haaland leading their attack.

He won the Golden Boot title in his first season in the Premier League, scoring 36 goals in 35 appearances for City.

He is off to another fantastic start in the 2023-24 season, finding the back of the net 14 times in 13 league appearances for City to reach the 50-goal mark.

He accomplished the feat in their last game against Liverpool, scoring the opener in their 1-1 draw.

He became the fastest player to score 50 goals in the English top flight, needing just 48 Premier League matches to reach that milestone.

Haaland scores 40th Champions League goal

Haaland broke another scoring record on Tuesday, becoming the quickest player to reach 40 goals in the UEFA Champions League.

He accomplished the feat in the game against RB Leipzig, with his 54th-minute goal inspiring City to a come-from-behind 3-2 victory.

He needed just 35 games in football’s biggest club competition to score 40 Champions League goals.

He also became the youngest player to hit such a goal tally, reaching that milestone at the age of 23 years and 130 days.
