Real Madrid will leave no stone unturned in their bid to reclaim the La Liga title from rivals Barcelona as they plan on bolstering the depth of their current squad with more quality players.

Los Blancos are having a near-perfect season currently, leading the La Liga table with 35 points from 14 games played so far, and they have also sealed qualification to the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Summer signing Jude Bellingham has set the bar high for new recruits coming into Real Madrid, as the 20-year-old midfielder has broken numerous records since his switch from Borussia Dortmund.

According to MARCA, the Englishman has surpassed the best goal-scoring start in the history of the Spanish club in his first 15 official games, scoring 14 goals in that span and surpassing the previous record of 13 goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stefano and Pruden Sanchez.

Carlo Ancelotti has seen his team dominate La Liga and the Champions League in the early stages this season and the Italian tactician has drawn a list of prospective players he wants to join the Jude Bellingham show in January.

Top 4 players on Real Madrid's radar

Real Madrid will be looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window as the Spanish giants push to reclaim the La Liga and Champions League titles.

Here, Sports Brief and Planet Football preview the top four players Real Madrid have been tipped to sign in the January transfer window to bolster their squad.

4. Santiago Gimenez

The Mexican striker has scored 37 goals in 2023 thus far. Gimenez has had 41 goals in 61 appearances since joining Feyenoord, catching the attention of numerous prominent European clubs, including Real Madrid.

3. Youssoufa Moukoko

Youssoufa Moukoko has recently appeared on their radar, as the 19-year-old is apparently dissatisfied with his lack of playing time at Borussia Dortmund.

The teenager has only played 144 minutes of Bundesliga football this season and appears to be looking for a move in January.

Real Madrid is interested since they could sign the teenager for as cheap as €30 million.

2. Rayan Cherki

Given Lyon's current position at the bottom of Ligue 1, several of its players may soon be made available for a reduced charge. Real Madrid has had a long-standing interest in Rayan Cherki, and January could be the ideal time to strike.

His contract with the French club expires in 2025, and sources in Spain say he could move in January.

1. Kubo Takefusa

The Japanese international left Real Madrid in 2022, and a return in 2024 has already been suggested. Kubo joined Real Madrid from FC Tokyo in 2019. However, he did not make a single appearance during his time at the Bernabeu.

While he didn't get much of a chance to flourish at Madrid, he has recently been impressive for Real Sociedad. This season, the 22-year-old has seven goals in La Liga, trailing only Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo in the Madrid squad.

Argentina star snubs Real Madrid

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Argentina U17 captain Claudio Echeverri is catching the eye of top European clubs for his performance at the World Cup in Indonesia but appears to have decided his next destination.

Echeverri is captaining his team at the tournament and has contributed five goals, including a superb hat trick against South American rival Brazil in the quarter-final.

He is the joint top scorer at the tournament alongside national teammate Agustin Ruberto, both of whom have scored five goals each and are teammates at River Plate.
