Pele scores on debut for Brazil

There is no questioning the fact that Pele is the GOAT of Brazilian football. He made his debut for Brazil at the age of 16 years, eight months, and 14 days in the Copa Roca game against Argentina back in 1957.

He entered the match as a substitute, with the Santos star replacing his club teammate Del Vecchio in the second half at the Maracana, per

Pele made an immediate impact, netting in the 76th minute to become Brazil’s youngest-ever scorer, a record that he still holds up to this day.

Argentina replied the next minute to deny Pele a winning start to his international career with Brazil.

Pele scored 77 goals in 92 international matches for Brazil.

Ronaldo replaces Bebeto on his debut

Ronaldo made his debut for Brazil at the age of 17 years, six months, and five days.

Like Pele, he played his first game for the Selecao against arch-rivals Argentina, with that match taking place in March 1994.

He entered the game as a substitute in the 80th minute, replacing Bebeto, who scored twice in that contest.

Fans in Recife cheered as the teen phenom made his first appearance for Brazil.

He failed to find the back of the net in that game, which ended 2-0 in favour of the Selecao.

Ronaldo scored 62 goals in 98 international matches for Brazil, leading his country to the World Cup title in 2002.

Endrick's first Brazil game ends in defeat

The moment Brazilian fans have been waiting for finally arrived on Friday, with Endrick playing his first game for the Selecao in their World Cup qualifying match against Colombia.

Endrick made his debut for Brazil at the age of 17 years and 118 days, appearing as a substitute in the game against the Colombians.

Brazil got off to a spectacular start, taking an early 1-0 lead after Gabriel scored in the fourth minute.

They held on to that advantage until the 75th minute when Luis Diaz scored a dramatic equaliser for Colombia.

Diaz then sent fans and his family into a frenzy when he gave Colombia the lead four minutes later with a well-placed header.

Brazil needed some inspiration after the stunning turn of events, with coach Fernando Diniz inserting Endrick in place of Raphinha in the 82nd minute.

He wasn’t able to replicate Pele’s heroics in his first game for Brazil, as he failed to find the back of the net on his debut.

The game finished 2-1 in favour of Colombia, with Brazil now losing each of their last two qualifying matches, per the BBC.
