Sadio Mane marked his hundredth appearance for Senegal with a brace against South Sudan as the African Champions got off to a winning start in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Al-Nassr scored in both halves as the Teranga Lions strolled to a 4-0 win at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Darkar.
Senegal needed just a minute to break the deadlock after Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder fired home the opener before Mane doubled the lead five minutes later after cleverly beating his marker to slot home from a Habib Diallo pass.
The West Africans extended their advantage just before half time through Lamine Camara.
Mane put the icing on the cake after the break, converting from the spot as Senegal tore apart their opponents in front of a jubilant home crowd, as reported by CAF Online.
The Saudi-based winger was presented with a jersey with the number 100 to mark his achievement with the national team, as spotted on social media.
Mane has scored 40 goals, provided 26 assists in the Senegalese jersey, and remains a national icon for the one-time African champions.
Senegal travel to Lomé to face Togo in the second game of the qualifiers.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Al-Nassr forward Sadio Mane has attributed Senegal's success in football in recent years to their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations triumph.
