According to Marca, the Brazilian national team are on high alert and have been impressed with Ancelotti, expressing a desire for him to become their coach in the foreseeable future.

Despite Ancelotti consistently downplaying links with the Selecao, the speculations about his potential takeover of the Brazilian national team persist.

However, amidst the discussions surrounding the former AC Milan manager's future, Spanish outlet Relevo have reported that Real Madrid is considering extending Ancelotti's tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Could Real Madrid extend Ancelotti's contract?

According to Relevo's report, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes Ancelotti is the ideal candidate to lead the team, and a contract renewal is being considered.

Perez aims to dissuade Ancelotti from the allure of coaching Brazil, proposing a contract that may include an initial year with a 12-month extension option. In contrast, the Brazilian national team is reportedly inclined towards offering a straightforward deal.

Nevertheless, the decision ultimately rests on the 64-year-old manager, who must decide if he remains motivated by the challenges Real Madrid presents, with the added expectation of securing at least one major trophy in 2024.
