Jurgen Klopp is not a happy man.

The departing Liverpool boss saw his team drop points in the Premier League yet again, recording a disappointing 3-3 draw against Aston Villa on Monday.

The German manager pinned the blame for their collapse on star defender Virgil van Dijk after the match.

Klopp blames van Dijk after miscue

He called out the Liverpool captain's mistake that triggered Aston Villa's furious fightback in the closing stages of the second half.

The Reds held a 3-1 lead in the 85th minute of the match when disaster struck. The Dutch defender put Alexis Mac Allister under pressure with an unnecessary pass while the Argentinian was facing his own goal.

Callum Chambers took full advantage of that miscue, dispossessing Mac Allister after the Liverpool midfielder turned into trouble.

The loose ball fell to Aston Villa's Jhon Duran, who scored with a low shot from the edge of the box, per Yahoo.

Duran doubled his tally just minutes later, diverting Moussa Diaby's shot into the back of the net to tie the match at 3-3.

Klopp made a quadruple substitution in the 75th minute. Some questioned those changes after Liverpool let a two-goal lead slip late in the contest.

The Liverpool manager argued that the substitutions were necessary as some players were tiring late on. He pointed the finger instead at van Dijk for Liverpool's meltdown, per Express.

Klopp noted that they had to make the changes because Aston Villa were too often in their box. He then blasted van Dijk, saying, "They shouldn't have passed the ball there," and that mistake opened the door.

Klopp's funniest moments as Reds boss

Sports Brief recently reported on Klopp's funniest moments as Liverpool manager.

Topping the list was his reaction to Lucas Leiva's shot attempt in 2016.

The German manager laughed uncontrollably as the cameras panned to him in the dugout.
