FootballKylian Mbappe: 4 EPL Clubs That Could Move for Frenchman as Real Madrid Cool Interest
- Real Madrid have reportedly cooled interest in signing Kylian Mbappe
- Four Premier League giants are now reportedly eyeing the Frenchman
- Mbappe is nearing the end of his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain
Several Premier League clubs have been put on red alert after Real Madrid reportedly pulled the plug on their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.
The French star's transfer saga has dragged on for years now, with Los Blancos failing to sign the forward dating back to when he was 21.
With Mbappe's contract with PSG set to expire in the next six months, Real Madrid were expected to make one final attempt to bring him in.
Reports from Spain indicate that Los Blancos have lost interest in the forward, instead looking at 'younger' options to bolster their attack next summer, as per Cadena SAR.
The Spanish giants are also reported to be concerned about Mbappe’s potential wage demands and some of his past decisions.
Last week, per AS, Real Madrid released a statement rebuffing reports linking the 2018 World Cup winner to the club once again.
"Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between [Mbappe] and our club, Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG," the statement read.
Mbappe to the Premier League?
Real Madrid cooling their interest in Mbappe has now opened the window for several Premier League clubs to sign the superstar.
Mbappe has already rejected a new contract offer from PSG and looks destined to leave the club.
As a result, four EPL clubs - Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United - could tempt the waters by luring the Frenchman to their club.
Man United 'identify' 2 world-class managers to replace Erik ten Hag
FootballThe 24-year-old reportedly wants an estimated £330,000 per week in wages, according to Four Four Two, and this sort of wage is well within the financial power of the giants of the Premier League.
Despite the saga surrounding Mbappe and his club future, he remains one of the top marksmen in world football. This season, he has notched 10 goals and assisted in 10 games so far.
This comes at the back of a stellar performance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where France fell short of defending their crown in the final, losing to Argentina in an entertaining spectacle.
Mbappe urged to stay by PSG teammate
Sports Brief also reported on the Mbappe transfer saga continuing to drag on, amid reports that Real Madrid are no longer keen on signing the Frenchman.
His teammate at Paris Saint-Germain, Achraf Hakimi recently spoke about the ongoing situation, saying he wants the France captain to stay at the club.
