Feyenoord immediately loaned him to Excelsior for a season, where he first played on the Dutch ground in a 3-0 win over Zwolle on 16 October 2009. The midfielder bagged his first and only goal for Excelsior in a match against De Graafschap, where they lost 3-1 on 26 February 2010.

Kamohelo returned to Feyenoord and debuted in a 3-4 loss to Roda in the KNVB Cup on 22 September 2010. He spent three seasons at the club, then joined PEC Zwolle in May 2023. The Bafana star played for one season at Zwolle before moving to FC Twente in August 2014, penning a four-year contract.

"It would be a shame for me to choose a Premier League club and not be ready or not understand the type of football that's played in England," Kamohelo said. "Oh yeah‚ I had options in the Premier League but yeah I'm a person who makes my decisions very carefully‚ because I don't want my development to stop‚" he added.

Kamohelo Mokotjo's Brentford tenure lasted three seasons. He scored six goals in 102 matches for the club before moving to the Major League Soccer.

United States

The Bafana midfielder joined FC Cincinnati on 20 August 2020 on a free transfer. After playing 22 matches, the club terminated Kamohelo Mokotjo's contract in January 2022, leaving him without a team for over a year.
