  • A Fantasy Premier League manager had a nightmare gameweek 11
  • The manager in question managed a solitary point after most of his players blanked
  • Unluckily, he had Destiny Udogie and Christian Romero in his squad, who both received red cards

A Fantasy Premier League manager has gone viral after registering just one point in gameweek 11.

The FPL is a great way to ‘get in the game’ as players get the chance to act as managers, albeit virtually.

Participants get some ‘money’ and are required to build an entire team using Premier League players within the allocated budget of 100 million.

One player of the virtual game will be fuming at his squad as it incredibly only yielded a single point from 11 players.

This is a far cry from the highest scorer of Gameweek 11, who managed 106 points after handing Jeremy Doku the armband.

The player in question managed nine points but unfortunately had the Tottenham duo of Christian Romero and Destiny Udogie in his squad. The two players received red cards on Monday, November 6, during the clash against Chelsea, meaning they scored -4 points each in the Fantasy League.

To be fair, the unlucky chap, whose team is named Omar Akley, had a reasonably decent squad to begin with, but it was overall a torrid week for most Fantasy Premier League players.

All the most selected superstars, including Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, and Son Heung-min, scored relatively low points, as cited on the FPL's official page on X.

Our player Omar happened to captain Haaland, but the Norwegian had a tough outing, only managing a single point against Bournemouth despite Manchester City scoring six goals, as cited on the BBC.

Haaland was withdrawn at half-time with an apparent injury, which ultimately slashed his points in the Fantasy Premier League.

Nicolas Jackson hits 'Siuu' after hat-trick

Sports Brief also reported on how Nicolas Jackson decided to celebrate after bagging a hat-trick for Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

The match lived up to expectations from the first minute and produced absolute cinema with red cards, clashes, disallowed goals, and VAR reviews reminiscent of a hard-fought derby.
