  • Fiacre Ntwari will be in between the posts when Rwanda take on South Africa in two weeks' time
  • The TS Galaxy goalkeeper has stated that he is keen to help Rwanda's new coach prepare for the game
  • The international break begins after November 12 and lasts until November 22

No matter the club allegiances, home comes first.

TS Galaxy goalkeeper, Fiacre Ntwari will be up for the challenge when Rwanda welcome South Africa to Kigali for a 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The pair are joined in a tough qualification group that includes Nigeria, Benin, and Zimbabwe.

Ntwari has become a regular in goal for the Rockets since his heroics against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup.

As fate tends to mandate, Ntwari must now try to replicate that magic with his national team against the nation of his employers.

Understandably, his place in South Africa has given him inside knowledge and the shot-stopper has said he will do what is necessary to get his county over the line in the qualifiers.

As quoted by SowetanLive, Ntwari said:

"I'll help my team with information because I know many South African players. I will help the coach by telling him more about the South African players.''

The Rwandan has praised TS Galaxy goalkeeping coach, Greg Etafia for his rise from new recruit to penalty shootout hero.

Etafia has warned that South Africa, and his home nation Nigeria, should be wary of their qualification group opponents.

Commenting on the draw, Sowetan Live quoted Etafia as saying:

"A team like Rwanda is like a closed book and facing them away can be dangerous if you take things for granted. Zim and Benin are dangerous teams with a lot of good players playing in big leagues in Europe."

South Africa's first two games are at home to Benin before they travel to Rwanda, who open their campaign against Zimbabwe in Kigali.
