Despite only recently signing full-back Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano, Los Blancos appear keen on signing another defender to bolster their full-back positions, and the name of Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies appears to be the player unanimously agreed on by the club's hierarchy to help strengthen their defence line.

Davies who still has two years left on his current contract per reports from Football Espana, has recently stalled his contract negotiations talks with Bayern Munich, an act which appears to have further fuelled the La Liga giant's pursuit for him.

Reports from Madrid Xtra also state the defender's agent has held talks with Real Madrid about a possible transfer.

With Bayern Munich gradually losing fate in the Canadian defender extending his contract, the Bavarian club have reportedly set an asking price for the sale of the 23-year-old.

Bayern Munich sets Davies' price tag

Reports from Spanish outlet Diario AS have stated the Bundesliga giants have set a €50 million asking price for interested clubs in any instance Davies refuses to pen a contract extension at the Allianz Arena.

The Canadian defender's current contract expires in 2025, and Bayern are not willing to lose him on a free transfer.

Real Madrid who are prime suitors for Davies, may not be willing to pay the transfer fee, but the Spanish giants will note the growing positives in their move to sign the defender, given Bayern Munich's willingness to negotiate a sale.
