Man United’s remaining Champions League fixtures

Copenhagen (November 8, Away)

The Red Devils’ next European fixture will be in Denmark as they face Copenhagen in an immediate rematch on November 8.

United had to work hard to get all three points against the Danish club on Tuesday night, waiting until the 72nd minute to get their first goal through a header by Harry Maguire.

Copenhagen nearly grabbed a vital point at Old Trafford, but United goalkeeper Andre Onana spectacularly saved Jordan Larsson’s late penalty, per The Guardian.

It was a huge victory for Erik ten Hag’s men, who moved to within a point of Galatasaray, who are second in Group A.

United will face Fulham in the Premier League on November 4 before their match against Copenhagen.

Galatasaray (November 29, Away)

United’s penultimate group match in the Champions League will also be on the road as they face Turkish giants Galatasaray at RAMS Park on November 29.

The Red Devils know full well the challenge they will face in Turkey as they suffered a 3-2 loss to Galatasaray at Old Trafford in their previous Champions League meeting.

Rasmus Hojlund gave United the lead twice in that encounter, but Galatasaray always had an answer to record the come-from-behind win.

The Turkish club grabbed all three points after Mauro Icardi scored the winner in the 81st minute.

United will face Everton in the Premier League on November 26 before their match against Galatasaray.

Bayern Munich (December 12, Home)

United return to Old Trafford for their final Champions League match, facing likely group winners Bayern Munich in that encounter.

The two teams combined for seven goals in their last Champions League meeting, with Bayern emerging as 4-3 victors, per the BBC.

The Bavarian giants are off to a spectacular start in Group A, winning all of their three matches thus far.

Bayern, who hold a five-point lead over Galatasaray at the halfway stage, may have already secured the top spot in the group before their meeting with United.

The reigning Bundesliga champions may opt to rest their stars for that contest if that is the case, which is good news for the Red Devils.

United will face Bournemouth in the Premier League on December 9 before their match against Bayern Munich.

Ozil praises Maguire and Onana

Sports Brief recently reported on Mesut Ozil applauding Maguire and Onana after their heroics against Copenhagen.

Ozil took to social media to praise the United duo, writing that they silenced the haters.

Maguire scored the winning goal and Onana saved a last-minute penalty to give the Red Devils the all-important Champions League victory.
