Ghana and Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey and his girlfriend, Janine Mackson, have disclosed the gender of their unborn baby in a lovely ceremony in London.

The 30-year-old midfielder was joined by his friends at a private location as he shared the moment with his loved ones.

Partey was an unused substitute in the game between Arsenal and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday following his return from international duty.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the Black Stars deputy captain is seen revealing the gender of his baby after kicking a small ball in the air, which sprayed pink powder. This means Partey and his partner will be having a baby girl.

Ms Mackson, a model based in the United Kingdom, earlier confirmed her relationship with the Ghanaian footballer on social media.

Meanwhile, Partey recently returned from an injury that kept him out for over a month, making an appearance in the 1-0 victory over Manchester City.

He was part of the Black Stars team for the international friendlies against Mexico and the United States last week.

Partey expecting first child with partner

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Partey will soon be a father after his partner, Janine Mackson, announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The midfielder and Ms Mackson have been dating for some time now despite not making their relationship public.

Partey looks ready for the next chapter of his life as he awaits the birth of his child with the model.

Partey leads Ghana in Mexico clash

Sports Brief also reported that second-half goals from Hirving Lozano and Uriel Antuna handed Chris Hughton his first defeat as Ghana coach after Mexico strolled to a 2-0 victory against the Black Stars in an international friendly in the United States.

Following a barren first half, the North Americans had an explosive start to the second half after Lozano broke the deadlock following a quick set-piece by Mexico.

Substitute Antuna doubled the lead with 19 minutes remaining after a mistake from Nicholas Opoku led to a quick break by El Tri.
