  • Guti has urged Real Madrid to bring back Zinedine Zidane as manager
  • The Frenchman is out of management since leaving Los Blancos in 2021
  • Zidane has had two stints as Real Madrid's manager in 2016 and 2019

Real Madrid are searching for Carlo Ancelotti’s successor should the Italian manager leave when his current contract expires at the end of the season, with Zinedine Zidane being a top candidate.

The Frenchman, who featured for five seasons with the Spanish giants as a player, has also had two previous stints as manager with Los Blancos in 2016 and 2019.

According to Tribal Football, Real Madrid legend, Guti has now called on Los Blancos to bring Zidane back as he claims the Frenchman knows the club too well and is the best candidate to replace Ancelotti.

"I think that, if we look at the results, he is the best coach that Real Madrid has had in recent years. He knows the club, he knows Florentino [Perez - club president], he knows how things go. He has the right profile for Real Madrid, like Ancelotti."

Zidane made history in his first spell at Real Madrid, becoming the first manager to win three consecutive UEFA Champions League trophies in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Bellingham’s Zidane comparisons shut down

Meanwhile, Marcos Senna has called on fans to 'keep things in perspective' when measuring midfield sensation, Jude Bellingham against an all-time great like Zidane, Football Espana reports.

The Euro 2008 winner with Spain revealed comparisons like that are not helpful but will only end up hurting the Englishman, who has had a great start to his first season in La Liga with Real Madrid.

Senna described Zidane as a legend with a great legacy and says it is too soon for supporters to start any comparisons between Bellingham and the former Real Madrid midfield maestro.

Zinedine Zidane gets new look

Sports Brief previously reported on fans claiming they wouldn't be able to recognise Zidane in a crowd after the Real Madrid legend showcased his new appearance on Instagram.

The French former midfield icon is presently unemployed, having concluded his second stint as the manager of the Spanish giants in 2021 after two successful spells with Los Blancos.

While Zidane boasts an illustrious football career and numerous accolades, it appears his departure from his traditional suit might allow him to seamlessly blend into any setting.
