Gareth Bale remains one of the finest forwards to have graced the beautiful game of football.

The former Real Madrid player, who initially rose through the ranks at Premier League club Southampton, burst into the spotlight while playing for Tottenham Hotspur. He later completed a then-world-record transfer to the La Liga giants in 2013.

During his spell at Real Madrid, Bale achieved an impressive collection of titles, including five UEFA Champions League trophies, as reported by Whoscored.

The 34-year-old attacker then made a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) with Los Angeles FC before ultimately retiring from his illustrious career in early January 2023.

Since retiring, Bale has taken up professional golf, as reported by Marca. However, he recently revealed his ideal football player, as quoted by Madrid Xtra.

His perfect player includes some of his former teammates from Real Madrid and the Welsh National team. For shot technique, he chose Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, highlighting his prowess. He recognized midfielder Luka Modric for his exceptional vision, and Real Betis' Isco for his exceptional control. Bale also preferred the right foot of Toni Kroos and his own left foot. He opted for Brazilian Carlos Casemiro for tackling, and for saves, he selected Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessy to complete his perfect player.

The former Real Madrid's man choice has sparked a flurry of fan reactions.

@Savsear expressed surprise and humour,

"He forgot Messi."

@gainplog celebrated the number of Real Madrid players on Bale's list, stating,

"Real Madrid is the best club in the world."

Bale lauds Bellingham

Sports Brief in a previous report stated Gareth Bale has hailed Real Madrid’s new signing Jude Bellingham.

The English midfielder, who earned the La Liga Player of the Month award for August, has found the net ten times since making his debut for the La Liga club.

Bale's perspective is that Jude, his fellow Brit, is poised to achieve even more significant milestones in light of his remarkable start.

“I have not watched a lot, but obviously Bellingham has made a great start," the retired footballer said.
