FootballSerhou Guirassy: Meet the Guinean Forward Outscoring Mbappe, Lewandowski and Haaland in Europe
- Serhou Guirassy has netted his tenth goal of the season
- The Guinea forward currently leads Mbappe, Haaland and Lewandowski in Europe's top leagues
- Guirassy scored a brace as Stuttgart beat SV Darmstadt in the Bundesliga on Friday
Serhou Guirassy is raising eyebrows in Europe following his outstanding start to the season in the German Bundesliga.
The Guinea international has already scored ten goals in just five league games, propelling Stuttgart to the top of the table, although Bayern Munich and Bayer Levekusen are yet to play their games this weekend.
The French-born forward scored twice to inspire Stuttgart to a comeback win against SV Darmstadt on Friday night.
Guirassy becomes the first player in Europe's top five leagues to reach double figures this season, as reported by Forbes.com.
His ten goals after five matches also see him equal the record set by former Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski in the 2020/21 season, per optafranz.
Lewandowski has only managed three goals in La Liga this season while Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland have scored seven each in their respective leagues.
This makes the Guinean forward the hottest striker in Europe at the moment and he is on course to breaking his personal best tally of 11 goals in a campaign.
Last night, in an exciting game at the MHPArena, Stuttgart conceded early in the match through defender Axel-Dan Zagadou before Enzo Milliot responded five minutes later. Guirassy added a brace to increase his tally for the campaign.
Who is Serhou Guirassy?
Guirassy was born in Arles, France to Guinean parents in 1996. He began his career playing for Stade Laval in 2013 before joining Lille in 2015 after the French giants spotted his huge potential at an early age.
