Bayern Munich's flawless start to the 2023/24 Bundesliga season came to a halt after a tense draw against Bayer Leverkusen.

Thomas Tuchel’s side, considered as heavy favourites, wasted little time as his team took an early lead thanks to their new striker, Harry Kane. However, Leverkusen's defender, Alex Grimaldo, equalised with a brilliant free kick, frustrating the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich again regained the lead in the 86th minute courtesy of midfielder Leon Goretzka; however, a late penalty from Exequiel Palacios would ensure both sides shared the spoils on the night.
