Moments later, Mohammed Kudus came close with Ghana's first chance in the 14th minute before the Central African Republic responded with a quick counter-attack. Amos Youga forced a save out of goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi.

The visitors then broke the deadlock after striker Louis Mafouta beat his marker Alexander Djiku before rounding up Ati Zigi to give his side the lead in the 25th minute.

Kudus was denied moments later by the defence of CAR after his effort from outside the box was blocked before Jordan Ayew saw his strike miss by inches wide.

With two minutes remaining to half-time, Osman Bukari was fouled at the edge of the box. Kudus elected himself for the free kick and made no mistake as he gave Ghana the equalizer.

After the break, the Black Stars had the chance to take the lead but Inaki Williams failed to get the right connection.

Ghana coach Chris Hughton made two quick changes, replacing Bukari with Ernest Nuamah and Williams with Antoine Semenyo as the Black Stars chased a win.

Defender Alidu Seidu tried from long range before Kudus saw his strike calmly collected by Flory Yangao.

Gideon Mensah, who replaced Bab Rahman in the second half, saw his header from a corner kick cleared off the line.

Semenyo came close to scoring but saw his effort parried away before the Bournemouth striker created the winner after beating his marker to serve Nuamah the assist for the winner.

Kudus scored again but the goal was ruled out for offside before Semenyo saw his strike hit the woodwork.

The Black Stars will next face Liberia in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
