Former captain of Ghana, Stephen Appiah, has charged the Black Stars to go for victory against the Central African Republic in the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday in Kumasi.
The four-time African champions need at least a draw to secure their place at next year's competition in Ivory Coast.
However, they face tough competition from the Central African Republic, who picked a point against Ghana in the reverse fixture.
Appiah, the first captain to qualify Ghana to the World Cup, remains confident but advises the players to not be complacent.
In a video shared on social media, Appiah is seen inspiring the current team and wishing them the best ahead of tonight's game.
"I am so happy to see you guys and see that the spirit is still alive. Gone are the days we used to play and before games these are the things that motivated us. You guys know the assignment already and tomorrow is the last game to qualify to AFCON and I know that you are ready. Tomorrow is strategic," he said.
Ghana are chasing a fifth AFCON title after last winning the tournament in 1982 despite coming close three times in the last three decades, as reported by ghheadlines.com.
