Arsenal look set to continue their spending in the summer transfer window with struggling Barcelona youngster, Ansu Fati, next on the Gunners' shopping list.
The North Londoners have already added Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, and David Raya to their ranks in an outlay that cost them upwards of £200 million.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal has previously held talks with Fati’s agent, but Mikel Arteta and his recruitment team are now ready to step up their interest in the talented Barcelona winger.
The Catalans are reportedly open to a loan deal if the Premier League runners-up are prepared to cover his wages or will allow an outright sale if the Gunners are willing to pay £50mil to complete a permanent transfer.
Fati has four years left on his Barcelona contract, so he has the power to determine his future in his own hands. However, he could leave the Catalan giants after falling down the pecking order under coach, Xavi.
Fati’s camp wants an exit
Meanwhile, Fati’s camp is pushing the player to consider leaving Barcelona before the transfer window closes, but the young forward remains keen on staying put, Barca Universal reports.
The 20-year-old's current condition at Camp Nou is far from ideal and his father has repeatedly stated that the forward deserves better treatment and more playing time.
Fati's father met with his representative, Jorge Mendes, earlier this week in Portugal and the super-agent is likely to fly to Barcelona in the coming days to discuss the forward's future with club officials.
