Nashville SC fans wanted Lionel Messi, and they are going to get the GOAT on their turf this weekend.

Fans issued a rallying cry before the final whistle sounded, chanting, ‘We want Messi.’

Nashville SC were already two goals up at that stage, with Fafa Picault doubling his side’s advantage with a strike deep into second-half stoppage time.

The crowd chanted the same message during Friday’s quarterfinal win against Minnesota United, per Yahoo Sports.

Messi leads Miami to final

Inter Miami were the first team to secure their ticket in the final, crushing Philadelphia Union 4-1 at Subaru Park.

Messi led the Herons in the semifinal win, scoring his ninth goal of the competition in the 20th minute.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s goal was a thing of beauty, firing a long-range strike from 30 yards out into the bottom corner past Philadelphia goalkeeper Andre Blake.

He maintained his record of scoring in every match for Inter Miami since joining the club last month, per ESPN.

Messi scored three goals in the group stage, including a stunning free kick in the 94th minute on his debut against Cruz Azul.

He continued his red-hot form in the knockout stage, registering doubles against Orlando City and FC Dallas.

He scored a late goal against Charlotte FC in the quarterfinals before launching a screamer in the semis against Philadelphia.

Nashville's final test

Nashville fans hope their team will stop Messi’s winning run in the final.

Inter Miami have won each of their six matches since the former Barcelona star joined the team, scoring 21 goals during that span.

The Herons’ attack has transformed thanks to Messi’s arrival, scoring four goals in four of their six Leagues Cup matches.

Messi swaps shirts with Carranza

Messi continued his tradition of swapping jerseys with fellow Argentine players in Tuesday's semifinal against Philadelphia.

The Inter Miami star exchanged shirts with forward Julian Carranza after the contest.

Sports Brief reported that he had previously swapped jerseys with Argentina stars, Alan Velasco and Thiago Almada.
