Refiloe initiated her club football trajectory by affiliating with Colchester United, Mamelodi Sundowns, and TUT Ladies. According to the team's official statement, she became a member of Canberra United on August 20, 2018, for the duration of the 2018–19 season of the Australia Women's League.

During her subsequent ten games for Canberra United, she achieved two goals. However, in April 2019, Jane terminated her affiliation with Canberra United in Australia. Afterwards, she consented to a one-year agreement with AC Milan, a team in the Italian Serie A Women's League, for an undisclosed amount.

Refiloe's injury at the Fifa Women's World Cup was minor, according to Nthabiseng Maesela, the senior women's team doctor for South Africa said she should be able to return to play soon. During the 2-2 draw between the Sasol-sponsored team's match against Argentina, the Banyana Banyana captain was carried off the field early in the first half.

It was unclear how severe the injury was, so it spread panic throughout South Africa. The team's doctor Maesela had a scan, which revealed that the damage was, in fact, minimal.

South Africa won their first World Cup game in a shock 3-2 victory over Italy to reach the knockouts, a landmark for women's football in the country. However, their hopes were later drowned by the Netherlands, who eliminated them 2-0.
