The Bundesliga champions have been negotiating with the Canadian defender to extend his contract, with his current deal set to expire in 2025.

According to Goal, Davies is waiting for an offer from Real Madrid, who could look to sell Ferland Mendy and replace him with the Bayern Munich defender.

Los Blancos are said to see the signing of the 22-year-old Canadian defender as achievable this summer after Bayern’s decision to sign another left-back in Raphael Guerreiro.

The 22-year-old Canadian defender was close to signing a new deal with the Bavarians before the sacking of former club’s former sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic on the final day of last season.

Davies felt a connection to Salihamidzic, which is one of the primary reasons talks over a contract extension have stalled between the 22-year-old and the Bavarians.
