On-loan Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi is making headlines once again, but this time, it is not for his tumultuous relationships.

The 30-year old has reportedly bagged himself the “world’s most expensive car”, valued at a whopping $25 million.

Despite his off-field drama, there is no denying Icardi’s talent as the Argentine has been crucial for Galatasaray this season on their way to winning the Turkish Super Lig.

According to Transfermkt, the striker has bagged an impressive 22 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.

These goals have helped his side move from a team that finished 13th last season to winning the league title in Turkey, something that is an incredible feat in itself.

Days before Icardi scored a brace to help his team secure the league, he shared an interesting photo of himself on Instagram inside what looked like a swanky vehicle.

AS has since reported that the car in question is in fact a Rolls Royce Boat Tail, which draws its name from marine navigation.

There are reportedly just three units of that specific model worldwide, and the car boasts some extraordinary features.

Aside from a 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine the car produces 563 horsepower and has 1,813 exclusive parts specifically designed for that specific unit.

Icardi’s caption also seemed to suggest he knows he has a collector’s item in his possession as he simply said, ”Futuristic”.

Messi’s car collection

Sports Brief also reported on Icardi’s fellow Argentine Lionel Messi’s exquisite car collection that puts many to shame.

The Argentine star is ranked the number one sports man with the most valuable car collection ahead of fierce rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Among the six-time Ballon d’Or winner’s car collection is a magnificent 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti.
