Monnapule Saleng tops the list
The biggest climber of the past season was Orlando Pirates' star, Monnapule Saleng.
Saleng was instrumental in helping the Buccaneers win the Nedbank Cup and MTN8. Saleng grabbed 15 goals in 30 appearances for the Sea Robbers and notched up 11 assists.
Mayo becomes hot property
Cape Town City’s Khanyisa Mayo has also seen his value increase thanks to impressive performances in the past season.
Mayo scored 12 goals in the DStv Premiership and shared the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award with Peter Shalulile. As noted by the Citizen, Mayo recently extended his contract with City, ruining any hopes for Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns, who were monitoring his situation.
Mokoena reaches €2 million mark
Mamelodi Sundowns’ Teboho Mokoena has seen his market value shoot above the €2 million mark.
He now joins two fellow Sundowns stars who are valued above €2 million. As noted by News24, Mokoena also won the Footballer of the Season and the Midfielder of the Season trophies at the recent PSL Awards.
