Jamal Musiala has opened up on the build-up to his last-gasp match-winning goal, which secured Bayern Munich's 11th successive Bundesliga title on Saturday, May 27.

According to Al Jazeera, Bayern went into the last game of the season trailing Borussia Dortmund by two points and needed nothing but a win while hoping for a slip-up from the league leaders.

Fortunately for the Bavarians, their title rivals Dortmund stumbled to a 2-2 draw with Mainz, allowing Thomas Tuchel's charges to squeeze past them in the tightest league race in recent years, The Guardian reports.

This was achieved by Musiala's magical strike in the 89th minute. Reflecting on his match-winning heroics, the 20-year-old attacker narrated how he managed to pull off such a feat.

"I got the ball and turned with it. I tried to get away from the defender with my first touch and tried to get myself in a good position to shoot," he said.
"This move - not just this exact move - I've worked on it in training the whole year, back then with Dino and everyone too," he added.
"And that's why I was so pleased because I practised it so much and then it happened in a game. It felt amazing at the moment, and the fact that we won the title and I hadn't scored a goal in a while meant it felt even better.
"I can't think of the words to really describe it right now, but it was simply incredible."

Bayern seal 11th successive Bundesliga

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Bayern Munich have won their 11th straight Bundesliga title. A 90th-minute goal from Jamal Musiala sealed a late 2-1 win at FC Koln after Borussia Dortmund were held 2-2 at home to Mainz.

With Bayern needing a win to overtake Dortmund, the England-raised Germany forward hammered home with the clock winding down, ensuring the Bavarians kept their grip on the title for another season.

Dortmund knew a win would guarantee them the title, but they found themselves 2-0 down after just 25 minutes, with striker Sebastien Haller also having missed a penalty.
