Chelsea youngster, Levi Colwill had to be reminded he is still playing for the Blues after he seemingly forgot he is still on the books of the west London club.
Colwill spent the better part of the 2022/23 campaign with Brighton, who he joined on loan at the beginning of the season.
The centre-back was among a host of Chelsea players who were shipped out on temporary moves during the summer of 2022.
According to The Sun, the 20-year-old has gone on to form an important part of the Brighton squad that recently secured a European football spot for next season under Roberto De Zerbi.
Colwill has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the South Coast club and has largely thrived under the Italian manager.
Colwill forgets he's with Chelsea
However, the budding defender recently appeared to forget that he is still a Chelsea player and had to be reminded about it.
Colwill suffered the gaffe during an exclusive interview with The Athletic:
"I forgot for a minute," he declared, after remembering he was heading back to Chelsea at the end of the season.
The youngster went on to pay a glowing tribute to De Zerbi, who he thanked for his continued growth and development.
"His mentality as a manager is world class and he is definitely going to be one of the best managers in the world - if he’s not already," the defender noted.
