A mass exodus is looming at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the summer transfer window.

Additionally, there is only one point separating them and league leaders Manchester City, with Arteta keen to steer his side to glory for the first time since 2004.

Be that as it may, reports claim there are a couple of Arsenal stars who will not be part of the team next season.

According to The Mirror, Arteta is prepared to permanently part company with as many as five players this summer as he clears for new arrivals.

Sports Brief takes a look at the five players who could exit the Emirates Stadium.

1. Folarin Balogun

The Arsenal youngster tops the list of players who look set to part company with the club.

Folarin Balogun has been a revelation at French side Reims where he is currently on loan.

According to Goal, Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig are keen on Balogun's services, while AC Milan have also been linked with a move.

2. Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal could be forced to count their losses and part ways with Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivorian winger was shipped out on loan to Marseille, where he has spent the 2022/23 season.

A permanent move to the French side has been mooted.

3. Reiss Nelson

The youngster is currently the only first-team player out of contract at the Emirates Stadium.

While it remains unclear if he will get a renewal, several reports claim he is likely to depart in search of more game time.

Nelson is currently behind Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order.

4. Cedric Soares

The defender is the other player likely to move on this summer.

Soares has already hit 31 years and cannot compete with Ben White or Tahekiro Tomiyasu for a starting role.

5. Pablo Mari

Pablo Mari has all but confirmed he will be departing Arsenal at the end of the season.

The defender is said to have already agreed to join Italian side Monza in a permanent deal after his successful loan spell.

Funds raised from the transfer are expected to boos Arteta's transfer kitty.

Two Arsenal stars ruled out

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal duo William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been ruled out for the remainder of the season with injuries.

Saliba is yet to recover from an injury he suffered back in March during a Europa League clash against Sporting Lisbon.

Zinchenko, meanwhile, is understood to have hurt his calf during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League last Sunday.

Both players have featured 33 times for the Gunners across competitions this season, meaning Arteta will have to look elsewhere for the run-in.
